STEP BY STEP

Step 1: Prep for Success 🛠️

• Remove cabinet doors, handles, and hinges.

• Label and store hardware.

• Clear countertops and cabinets.

• Clean cabinets with Sunnyside TSP Substitute Spray.

• Degloss with Klean Strip Liquid Sander.

• Lightly sand with 220 grit sandpaper.

• Lay cabinets horizontally for better paint adherence.

• Protect floors and surfaces with brown paper and FrogTape.

• Fill handle holes with DAP Plastic Wood Filler.

Step 2: Prime Time 🎨

• Use Zinsser Bullseye 123 Primer.

• Apply with Wooster Brush Shortcut and Purdy brushes.

• Roll flat surfaces; brush inside panels.

• Prime back sides of doors; flip and prime front.

• Prime sides/edges of doors and drawer fronts.

• Don't worry about appearance; focus on adhesion.

• Allow primer to dry for at least 2 hours.

Step 3: Paint Perfection 🖌️

• Choose Behr Semi-Gloss Urethane Alkyd Enamel.

• Apply same steps as primer.

• Cut in with a brush, roll flat surfaces.

• Paint cabinet boxes, then doors and drawers.

• Allow paint to dry according to instructions.

• Apply a second coat in the same manner.

• Remove FrogTape and brown paper while paint is wet.

• Allow cabinets to dry for a few days.

• Reinstall hardware and admire your transformed cabinets!

• Optional: Enhance with 3-inch Furniture Bun Feet for a custom touch.
